Wesenberg is a bastard child between art deco and bauhaus type of fonts. The construction of the font is quite strict and geometrical – a lot of the letters bare the same forms and building logic. There are some anomalies like the lowercase letter “a” with a box-like body, that gives more quirkiness to the font. It is best suited for headlines, because of the high contrast of the letterforms. If there is a shop sign that needs to pack a punch, then Wesenberg is the right font for the job. The name Wesenberg comes from the historical German name of the town Rakvere in Estonia, where the author of the font lived for many years.
