about this typeface

Neuhaus was born from a wish to create a dark and a bit paradoxical typeface with a futuristic- industrial feel.
In this font two controversial and mutually exclusive polar opposites meet — religion and crime. Molding these together created toxic harmony. Neuhaus was inspired by ornamental cyrillic calligraphy of the Russian Orthodox world (Vyaz) as well as Latin American organized crime group symbolic identity and Brazilian graffiti letterforms from Sao Paolo (Pixação). The typeface is best described by glyphs M, A, S, T, E, X and C. It is suitable for dark posters or album covers. It works best as snobby and as inauspiciously big as possible.
